Embedded Asterisk(tm) Appliance For Open Source Communities announced by VoIP Pioneers
April 30, 2007
We take this opportunity to let you know that TechnoCo has announced its embedded Asterisk™ PBX appliance, "Vdex", running a technoCo modified, embedded version of popular Asterisk™ PBX software version 1.4.
Vdex is a sophisticated hardware telephony platform (appliance) integrating multiple microprocessors and multiple digital signalling processors with numerous industry-standard, hardware-based voice codecs and LAN and telecom line interfaces. Measuring just 8 inches by 5.5 inches, Vdex is a true appliance: no disk drive, no monitor/keyboard and no noisy power supply.
TechnoCo was founded by three pioneers of the voice over Internet (VoIP) industry whose previous company, OzEmail Interline, was the first in the world to provide commercial Internet telephony (VoIP) to the public on a global basis.
Discounted evaluation samples will be available (limited quantity) for US$695 with product projected to retail under US$900.
