Paytoo Expands Its Presence in Latin America

XY Prepago (a GTEL group company) and Paytoo (a universal mobile services provider) reached an agreement that will allow the joint provision of virtual and telecommunication services from any mobile phone in Ecuador and the world. The agreement was ratified in Miami by Santiago Arroyo, Product Innovation Manager of the G-Tel Group, through its XY Prepago business unit and by Michel Poignant, CEO of Paytoo.

This alliance aims to develop mobile commerce and international telecommunications supported by an integrated platform of prepaid virtual VISA international credit cards that facilitate monetary transactions and purchases reducing the cost of local and international calls in the country.

With Paytoo and XY Prepago, customers will be able to make local and international long distance calls, transfer credits, pay bills, pay merchants and check their balance and withdraw money in real-time and securely.

XY Prepago and Paytoo have worked together to offer Ecuador the first complete mobile telecommunications solution that brings together a complete suite of services, an International GSM SIM card, used instead of the regular carrier card, which will allow customers to make calls, send SMS messages and have access to voicemail in over 230 countries worldwide, with up to 80% savings on regular roaming tariffs. Paytoo users will be able to call other Paytoo users for free via VoIP as well as make calls via SMS call back.
